Extradition defeated and felony case in S. Dakota dismissed and closed.

Week of April 18, 2016 – King County Superior Court.  Phil Weinberg’s client was in jail in King County facing extradition for numerous alleged and real probation violations in S. Dakota.  Phil convinced the S. Dakota prosecutor, warrants section and probation officer to cancel her no-bail extradition hold here and close her S. Dakota felony drug case upon payment of a nominal fine.  Client was released from jail within 24 hours without posting any bail or bond and is home with her family here, happy as a clam that she retained Phil Weinberg.  This was all done via persuasive negotiation sparing the client the fees and risks of a major legal battle, and avoided her return to the Midwest where she was facing 4 years in prison.
